About Age Of Battle
Age Of Battle is a lane-based strategy and defense game that begins in a rough Stone Age settlement where food is scarce, weapons are simple, and every new soldier matters. You command the defenders of a cave while an opposing force advances from the other side of the battlefield. The immediate objective is to protect your own territory, push the enemy line backward, and destroy the rival position. Winning is not simply a matter of sending units as quickly as possible. Each warrior costs food, every unit fills a different battlefield role, and an army made without a plan can disappear before it reaches the enemy.
The basic clubman is inexpensive and useful for putting pressure on the front line, while stone throwers attack from farther away and work best when tougher fighters stand between them and danger. Dino riders cost more resources but bring much greater power when a battle starts to turn against you. Because these units require different amounts of food, the game constantly asks you to choose between acting immediately and waiting for a stronger deployment. A cheap wave may slow an enemy attack, but saving food for a mixed group can create a much more effective push.
Victories provide coins that can be invested in production and combat upgrades. Improving food generation shortens the time between deployments, while stronger units survive longer and make later stages more manageable. The campaign is built around gradual expansion: you defend what you already control, conquer additional caves, and gain enough strength to face more demanding battles. That progression gives every upgrade a clear purpose rather than making it feel like a decorative number increase.
The larger goal is to advance beyond the Stone Age. Once enough coins have been collected, you can evolve into a new historical era with access to a different set of forces. Evolution is a meaningful decision because moving forward resets much of the current progress, including coins, upgrades, and battles. Evolving too early can leave the next era harder than expected, while staying too long slows the discovery of stronger units. Age Of Battle therefore combines short automatic clashes with longer-term resource planning. The battles are easy to understand, but choosing when to produce, upgrade, attack, defend, and evolve gives the game its strategic depth.
How to Play
Use the mouse on a computer or tap the on-screen controls on a phone or tablet. Start by watching the food counter and the cost shown for each available unit. A clubman requires three pieces of food, a stone thrower requires five, and a dino rider requires seven. Select a unit when you have enough food and it will enter the lane automatically, move toward the enemy, and fight anything it meets.
Do not spend every piece of food the moment it appears. Clubmen are useful early because they are cheap, but a line made entirely from clubmen can struggle against stronger opposition. Place durable melee fighters first, then send stone throwers behind them so they can attack from a safer distance. Save dino riders for moments when you need to break a difficult enemy group or turn defense into a strong counterattack.
After a victory, open the upgrade area and spend coins with a clear priority. Increasing food production is one of the most useful early improvements because it lets you deploy replacements sooner. Upgrade the units you use most, but keep the army balanced rather than investing everything in one type. During battle, watch where your line is moving. If your units are being pushed close to the cave, spend enough to stabilize the defense before saving for an expensive fighter.
Continue clearing battles and collecting coins until the evolution option becomes available. The next era unlocks stronger possibilities, but your coins, upgrades, and completed battle progress reset when you evolve. Finish useful upgrades and make sure you understand the current unit roles before moving on. A steady rhythm—produce food, build a mixed formation, counter the enemy wave, upgrade efficiently, and evolve at the right time—is the safest route through the campaign.
