About War Simulator

War Simulator is a medieval tactics game that separates planning from execution. Before each battle, the player receives a fixed budget and a view of the enemy army waiting across the field. The available force includes dwarves, spearmen, and archers with different prices and statistics. Instead of controlling those soldiers after combat begins, the player selects units, places them on the deployment grid, checks the formation, and presses Start Battle. From that moment, both armies move and fight automatically.

The campaign contains ten stages. Four battles take place in forest terrain, followed by six desert levels. Each stage changes the enemy formation and asks for a new response. A line of fragile ranged units may work against a slow approach but collapse when fast enemies reach it. A dense block of durable melee fighters can hold the center yet leave the flanks open. Because every unit costs part of the same budget, a successful army needs both the right composition and sensible spacing.

Dwarves have strong health and are suited to absorbing damage on the front line, although their lower agility makes them slow to react. Spearmen trade some durability for better speed and balanced attack power, which makes them useful in the front or second rank. Archers attack from range and fire quickly but have very low health. They are most effective behind a screen of melee troops, with enough distance and space to keep shooting after the lines meet. The character-stat panel helps compare these strengths before placement.

The 3D view lets the player inspect the army from different angles, while right-drag camera movement and mouse-wheel zoom make gaps easier to spot. Once a fight starts, speed controls can run the simulation at normal speed or accelerate it. Victory unlocks the next campaign stage; defeat returns the player to the planning problem with the same enemy and a chance to rebuild. The central appeal is learning from that visible result and making a formation that performs better on the next attempt.

How to Play

Choose Campaign, select an unlocked level, and study the enemy formation at the top of the battlefield. Open the unit panel on the left, select a dwarf, spearman, or archer, then left-click an open square on your side of the grid to place that unit. Every placement reduces the remaining budget shown near the Start Battle button. Use Clear or the trash control if you want to rebuild the formation.

Place tough melee units in front and keep archers behind them. Hold the right mouse button and drag to look around the 3D field; use the mouse wheel to zoom. When the formation is ready, click Start Battle. The soldiers fight automatically, so watch which flank breaks, whether the archers remain protected, and where units become crowded. During combat, use the speed control to switch between normal, 1.5×, and 2× playback. If the army loses, retry and change its composition or spacing.
